Monday, September 20, 2004Lasts?
So long ACL. I can't say that I will miss you. Nay, I am quite glad you are gone. Yes, there are oodles and oodles of bands, and I'm sure it's a boon for the Austin economy, but what have you done for me lately? Only one band (read: The Roots) that I'd be interested in, and tying up traffic everywhere. Peace out.
Today is supposed to be my last "Monday". Of course, new developments at work today. We'll see...

chairman:
new developments? i don't like the sound of that. i need a partner in our next "drink beer" game.

Dude, it's crazy. I'll call you tonight.

A "boon" for the Austin economy? Yeah, that's right, I had to call you out. B/c I never misspell anything.
09/20/04 03:13 PMchairman:
wait. i think mr. mark is correct.
boon (n.) 1. A benefit bestowed, especially one bestowed in response to a request.
2. A timely blessing or benefit: A brisk breeze is a boon to sailors.
reagan:
Okay, Mr. Smarty, Mr. "Big Words" Chairman, I'll accept his use of boon. And in the future, I'll be sure to grab a dictionary before trying to call anyone out.

hey... I had a blast at ACL and there is nothing like sittin' in your front yard watching the crazies walk to their cars after all day in the sun. ha. I did miss the Roots (boo, hoo) but I made it in time to skip out on my volunteer shift and catch Ben Harper instead. good times. though I don't reccomend taking other peoples anti-anxiety prescriptions while drinking beer and smoking. I feel a bit loopy today.

sigh.
The Roots.
I love.
*nice new banner* ;)

r&l: Who says college dropouts can't spell?
dd: That is correct Dawn. Do not do that. :)
j&b: i very much appreciate your comments on my head...montage...

I agree with the assessment of ACL. It was just too durned hot and there were too many durn people there to be able to enjoy anything. Durn. It's a word.
